Wedding Plans

For the last week I have been in Norfolk visiting my Mum and Dad, It's been lovely seeing them as I haven't been home since Christmas! My mum booked me some appointments at Bridal shops to try on some wedding dresses. It was a amazing yet stressful experience, it took 3 days and 5 dress shops but I have found my DREAM dress. I'm not going to give anything away but it is AMAZING and it shall be a 'good' shock to everyone who knows me.

As well as sorting my dress out I have ordered my shoes. I am getting the shoes I have dreamed of owning for ages, Vivienne Westwood Melissa shoes. I decide to get the white ones with Red hearts as I am having a red theme at my wedding. I just think they are quirky, cute and will complement my theme.

The most stressful thing so far as been looking at invitation ideas and think about who is going to be my brides maids. I don't really have a best girl friend which kind of sucks so its going to be a hard decision, but I have a few ideas.

I've also decided I am going to change my hair colour. Although I love having white blonde hair, but I think its time for a change and I want something that is much more natural. I don't think I will be losing the blonde completely because I'm not to keen on my natural brunette. So as soon as I get my Student loan in I'm going to get myself to the hairdressers!

Haven't got much else to say but hopefully I will write soon!

Good hair days & bad hair days!

I seem to have more Bad hair days than Good hair days and I think that is what most girls think about their hair. And when it does look good its always at times when it doesn't matter, like when you're having a bed day or just popping to the local shop for some milk.

I've been blonde (for the second time round) for just over a year now and I still love it, although sometimes I do want to dye my hair either pink or black. Having white hair is a lot of maintenance, and sometimes I hate it! My hair is dry and brittle, and bleaching your own roots is so difficult.

I'm getting married next year and I think I am going to make the decision to dye my hair a more 'natural' colour. Why? Well I do get a lot of positive nice comments about my white hair but I am not sure if it is appropriate for my wedding, especially when I look back in 20 years at my wedding pictures.

I think I would like to go a more natural blonde or light brunette. Something that isn't to dark that would take me ages to get out if I ever did what white hair again, but something that is not as vibrant and in your face. Maybe it would even help getting my hair into a better condition.

I use and have tried many products in my hair to make it into a better condition but I have not found something yet that amazes me. The best things that I have found are here in my hair care video:

I'm no expert on hair and I learn only by trial and era and I'll probably keep on learning that way. maybe I will stick with my white hair for a while as I do enjoy its unusualness.

I've been away, but now I'm back.

Okay, so I haven't posted in a while and its all because I've just been either super busy, or supper lazy! I'm currently writing this post instead of doing th piles of work that I have so I'm basically procrastinating! But what better way than to tell everybody what I've been doing and what plans I've got!

1.) My attendance at Uni hasn't been to good lately and thats just because I've been so stressed about stuff and as some of you might know I suffer from depression and I've been struggling with that a lot for the last couple of weeks. I find that some of my classes at Uni to be rather pointless and even when I go I feel like I am not getting anything out of them as most of the classes are put online. Anyway, I'm currently doing two assignments for Uni: One on them is on Ireland and America and the other is on Globalisation.

2.) I've also got to sort out a placement for one of my modules (basically work experience) for 10 days and I'm hoping to go into a primary school. Don't ask me why, I must be mad!

3.) I have to decided what I am going to write my special studies project on for my third year (a mini dissertation) and do a proposal of what I want to write. I think I am going to do it on the Cold War and how the presidents of the United States used their speeches as propaganda.

York Pavilion Hotel
4.) I have a job interview on Friday (16th march) which is also my dads birthday! Its at a Nursery for 0-5 year olds. Its just 'casual work' whatever that may be, but it would give me much need experience and much needed cash!

5.)I'M PLANNING MY WEDDING! Since my last post there has been much development in my wedding plans! We have picked the place we are going to have the ceremony which will be St Wilfred Church in York and the Reception will be at York pavilion Hotel. Its all booked and I am so excited! There is such much we have to get sorted yet, but the actually date is the 18th October 2013!

Other things I've done:
Taken out my snakebites
Had my nails done
My engagement ring :)

What I'm planning to do:

Hopefully I will get to write on here a bit more often when I have lightened the work load. I plan to write about more stuff I love such as fashion and music. I want to start an outfit of the day post and also start writing about all the music I love. Obviously I will also post updates of my wedding preparations too!

A very eventful week!

So this week I wasn't looking forward to. My diary was full; revision, hospital appointment, signing for house, working at oxfam. I was quite stressed and only looking forward to the end of the week when me and alan were signing for our new house which we move into in July!

Anyway, it was tuesday and i'd been to see my psychiatrist, its never enjoyable and I came out feeling worse then when I went in. So I met Alan at Uni cause we where going to go to starbucks, he wasn't in a good mood either.

ANYWAY went to starbucks, had coffee (don't try the spiced vanilla lattes there disgusting!) so we talked about signing the contract for the house and that it was like real serious and a commitment. We left and walked into the city centre and we looked into a jewellery shop window (we always seem to browse a lot) Alan said to me, 'Do you like that one?' and pointed to a lovely gold diamond ring. I said yes then he said 'lets go in and try it on!' I thought he was kidding but he wasn't we went in and he bought it me. So the moral of the story is I'M GETTING MARRIED!

I knew that we where going to get engaged but I didn't really know when so I was shocked and happy and just wanted to tell everyone! Our parents and friends are pleased and we are hoping to get married in 2014! Which means I've got to start planning it all now!

I have a few ideas about my wedding dress and we know we would like to get married in a church (we are both Catholics) So we need to find a place to have the reception, decide colours, chose brides maids, design/buy a dress, make a list of people ahhh this just so much to think about, but I am so excited and happy!

Today we signed our housing contracted, we are moving into a lovely 2 bedroomed terrace in July. Im so excited to be living together.

PLUS, my American History exam went pretty well. I have a week off now, so I can chill and stare and my engagement ring all i want!

I thinking about doing a wedding blog/ vlog, to keep people up to date and it might help me remember all the things I have to do/plan.

planning has begun!
Anyway, I'm a very happy girly and I should have a bit more time on my hands now so I'll be able to update my blog more often (hopefully!)

Home for Christmas.

Today me and my brother travelled home for Christmas. We both live in York (thats where we are at University) and had to travel 3 and a half hours on two trains to Norwich, norfolk. It would have been simple if we didn't have two very heavy suitcases and the people on the train where a little nicer but we made it without any delays (which is unusual for the british rail system)

So I am home, got a nice hot meal cooked by my wonderful mum and its just nice to be back with home comforts and actual warmth (my uni house is freezing!) I do miss Alan a lot thought and its going to be hard not seeing him for a couple of weeks.

Anyway heres a picture of me and the Christmas tree.

Amsterdam at last!

So I finally got my pictures back from my trip from amsterdam. So here is a collection of the best of them. I was pretty impressed with the quality of them as I took them on a disposable camera!
